Abstract−This study aims to determine the effect of reward and punishment on employee performance with motivation as an intervening variable at the Regional Disaster Management Office of North MusiRawas Regency. The population in this study were all 31 employees of the Regional Disaster Management Office of North MusiRawas Regency with saturated sampling. Data collection techniques in writing this thesis using observation, documentation and questionnaires. The analysis technique uses simple regression analysis, correlation test, determination test, t test and F test. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion described in the previous chapter, it can be concluded that 1) Reward has a significant positive effect on motivation in the Regional Disaster Management Agency North MusiRawas Regency. 2) Punishment has a significant positive effect on motivation in the Regional Disaster Management Agency of North MusiRawas Regency. 3) Motivation has a significant positive effect on employee performance at the Regional Disaster Management Agency of North MusiRawas Regency. 4) Reward has a significant positive effect on Employee Performance at the Regional Disaster Management Agency of North MusiRawas Regency. 5) Punishment has a significant negative effect on Employee Performance at the Regional Disaster Management Agency of North MusiRawas Regency. 6) Reward has an effect on Employee Performance which has been mediated by Motivation at the Regional Disaster Management Agency of North MusiRawas Regency. 7) Punishment has no effect on Employee Performance mediated by Motivation at the Regional Disaster Management Agency of North MusiRawas Regency.
